May is a month of celebrations. Every once in a while, I become intrigued enough in a dish I like yet have never made myself to want to try it out. Result: for May celebrations, make your first ever meringue cake. What I learnt: a meringue is like a lung, first all puffy and big filled with air, and next, flat and lifeless. Still, tasty. Especially with a combination you can't go wrong with: meringue, cream, white chocolate, almonds and fresh raspberries.
